This is my friend, Jay - another Mopar man.

This is his 1967 Dodge Coronet 500, which was an original 383 car. It now has a stroked 400, 451 cubic inch motor that did 12:30 in the quarter mile its first time out.

Jay recently put his Coronet on a chassis dyno to check the horsepower at the rear wheels. These are his findings:

  • peak torque of 484 ft. lbs. at 3700 R.P.M.
  • peak horsepower was 437 at 5300 R.P.M.

He has also taken trophies in demolition derbies with his Mopars. This one is a 1974 Chrysler New Yorker that he took second place with. The four top finishers that day were all Mopar - of course.
